7 shot in Panama City Beach during Spring Break

PANAMA CITY, FL (WALB) - The Bay County Sheriff's Office has arrested 22-year-old David Jamichael Daniels of Mobile, Alabama in connection with a shooting that occurred early this morning around 12:55 a.m.

Investigators confirmed that seven people were shot at 5312 Thomas Drive near Panama City Beach, Florida. 

Officers said the shooting occurred at a condo during a Spring Break party. 

Several of the victims are students at Alabama A&M University visiting for Spring Break. 

The victims were identified as Kearria Freed, 20; Anesia Powell, 20; Devanta Moore, 21; Jacole Young, 22; Kelli Curry, 21; Tykeria Ethridge, 22; Henton Franklin, 22.

Powell is now undergoing surgery.

Freed, Moore, and Franklin  remain hospitalized in critical condition.

Young,Curry, and Etheridge remain hospitalized in stable condition.

The seven victims are being treated at Bay Medical Sacred Heart and Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Officers recovered a 40 caliber handgun matching the description of the one used in the shooting.

David Jamichael Daniels has been charged with seven counts of Attempted Murder and is currently in the Bay County Jail awaiting first appearance today.
