ECHOLS CO., GA (WALB) - Echols County school officials were asking Friday for the public's input on the county's school system.
The district was planning to hold a dinner and meeting on Monday night, March 30th from 6-8 p.m. at the Echols County K-8 building located at 229 Hwy 129 S.
Echols County Superintendent Tim Ragan said it's part of the district's effort to comply with the state school board association's recommendation that every district have a strategic plan for the future of their schools.
"We just invite everyone in the community to come out, sit around the table, talk, and share some thoughts or ideas on what they see is good, what they see is bad, and some direction they wanna see," Ragan emphasized.
Officials planned to serve a spaghetti dinner at the meeting.
Ragan said as of Friday the goal was to have a three to five year plan developed and presented to the community sometime in June.
