THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomas County deputies are searching for a driver who got away after a chase.

Deputies say the man seen in this video running from a white 2000 Honda accord led them on a chase going more than 100 miles per hour, after an officer tried to pull him over for a traffic violation.

When the suspect hit a dead end on Cassidy Road, he jumped out of the car, and ran into the woods.

"We called a wrecker for the vehicle to come and get it. Then we did an inventory. And in that inventory we found a misdemeanor amount of marijuana and a scale, which is often used in illegal drug sales," said Captain Steve Jones Thomas County Sheriff's Office

If you have any information about the man, call the Thomas county Sheriff's office at 229-225-3300.
