THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Police are still searching for a suspect they say stole money from a man filling up his car at a Thomasville gas station.

Surveillance video showed what police described as a black man in his thirties robbed someone earlier this month at the L and G Food Mart, on Old Albany Road.

The victim told police the suspect said he had a gun.

"You have to comply, because you don't know if they have a gun. Safety is utmost. You can always replace your money, but your safety is something you can never get back," said Thomasville Police Detective Scott Newberry.

Officers say the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous, call police if you have any information.
