Moultrie Police need help identifying two thieves

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie Police need your help identifying two thieves who climbed through ceilings at two schools to steal hundreds of dollars of items.

The crimes at Moultrie Technical College and Colquitt County High School are similar, but police don't think they're related.

They're hoping for tips to put the crooks behind bars.

On March 9th, a camera in the student center a Moultrie Tech captures this man wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans heading towards these vending machines to do the unthinkable.

" The individual climbs up on to the snack machine goes into the ceiling crawls across the ceiling and removes a light in the other side from the locked snack area,” said Inv. Jones.

This locked rolling door leads to a snack area where the crook got away with keys and an IPad. You can still see the cracked ceiling tile he removed to get inside.

Police said the man climbed back through the ceiling and is shown leaving the student center with a bag, mask and sunglasses covering his face. Police aren't sure if he's a student.

"We've shown his picture around the school little bit and none of the teachers have been able to identify him and we need help identifying him."

Just three days ago a camera at Colquitt County High School caught this man with a camouflage back pack and a mask easing his way into the school after midnight.

"He's carrying what is commonly known as a matix. It's got a pick ax on one end and a trenching hoe on the other end," continued Inv. Jones

Police said the man damaged a $4,0000 snack machine in the school. He's then seen going into these two classrooms where he stole 30 dollars and some keys.

“Two security cameras were also taken from the ceiling in the reception area."

If you think you can identify these two men you are asked to contact Moultrie Police.
