Witnesses say a burgundy Chevy Blazer ran a stop sign on Van Buren Street, and hit another small car driving down Gordon Avenue.
They said it jumped the curb, and stopped in a vacant lot. Three people were put on stretchers from the burgundy car, and taken by ambulance for treatment.
APD says a 2000 GMC Jimmy driven by Makiba Williams was traveling south on Van Buren. Williams did not see the 2000 Buick Park Avenue, driven by Kayla Lockett, 34, who was traveling east on Gordon.
Williams, 48, struck Lockett, and came to rest in a nearby yard.
Both Drivers and their passengers were transported to the hospital by EMS with complaints of injuries. A total of five people transported.
Williams was cited with failure to yield at a stop sign.
