Valdosta man shot Sunday morning

Bobbi McGraw Bobbi McGraw
VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police were trying to figure out Monday who shot Christopher Dunn in the leg at a house party.

Police were called to 713 Baytree Dr. around 1:15 a.m. Sunday after someone called police and complained about the loud noise coming from the home and numerous cars parked all over the road.

When officers got to the scene, they started checking the noise level and trying to talk to some people and that's when several gunshots rang out in the crowd.

"People started runnin'. I'm sure there was some type of panic goin' on. Had people runnin' away from the scene; leavin' the scene," said Valdosta Police Department Cpt. Bobbi McGraw. "It appears that the victim and some of the witnesses are not being fully cooperative with police."

Dunn was taken to SGMC for treatment, but was released a short time later. As of Monday, no charges had been filed but Cpt. McGraw said the suspect or suspects could potentially face charges of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and discharging a firearm within city limits.

Anyone having any information is asked to call the Valdosta Police Department Bureau of lnvestigations at 229-293-3145 or the VPD Crime Tip Line at 229-293-3091.
