LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Car enthusiasts make a trip through South Georgia raising money for the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes and remembering a South Georgia doctor.
Antique and High end sports cars from around Georgia made a pit stop at Salt Lick and Sausage in Lee County today for the annual "Kruzin for Kids" ride. The ride started in Lagrange and ends in Hahira. Riders are also remembering Sumter County Doctor Harold Holloway.
"Dr. Holloway was dedicated to helping young people get an education, get scholarships and he was a big contributor to the Sheriff's Boys Ranch down in Hahira as it was known back then," said Buddy Hollomon, Organizer.
"It's a good cause and we don't mind getting out here and riding and showing off our cars and raising some money for these kids," said Bill Berry, Artesian City Car Club President
More than 50 riders participated in the event.
