CORDELE, GA (WALB) - The group, My Sister's Keeper is getting involved to help a Cordele man who was brutally beaten and robbed.
Seventy year old Eugene Dennard is still recovering from severe brain and lung damage after being attacked in October.
The Cordele organization wants to help the family by raising money and honoring Eugene's wife, Dora.
"At a women's empowerment brunch on March 28th, we're going to honor her there," said Crystal Jones, My Sister's Keeper member. "And then, also, on a larger note, we're going to invite her back for a town hall meeting on April 4th."
My Sister's Keeper has created a GoFundMe account to help foot the bill for medical expenses.
