Ronald McDonald teams up with new Albany McDonald's

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Ronald McDonald House now has a new partner in town. City leaders cut the ribbon on a new McDonald's on Westover Friday morning.

The Ronald McDonald house in Macon provides over 4 thousand nights of lodging for families in need. They also provide over 30 thousand meals each year, and now you have a way to contribute.

"We're newly aligned with the McDonald's in Albany which means if you come in and drop your change in the donation box or if you buy a happy meal, the proceeds of that come just up the road to support the families from this community who come to Macon," said President of the Central Georgia chapter Bonnie Hopkns.

Families who have stayed at the house say it's to have a place to go that feels like home.
