VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

If you're looking for an excuse to get outside this weekend, you could head out to Wild Adventures in Valdosta.

The park officially opens for the 2015 season Saturday. A new ride will be open and the park will also have several new activities and exhibits.

"We're gonna open up tomorrow with a brand new ride, a new animal exhibit; lots of new stuff," said Wild Adventures Public Relations Coordinator Laurie Windham. "We have a new, interactive exhibit. So, kids can actually climb around the monkey house and be right up next to the squirrel monkeys."

The park will be open on the weekends only in March, but it will be open on Thursdays and Fridays beginning in April and once school gets out for the Summer it will be open seven days a week.
