ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The sister of a woman being tried for a 2013 Albany murder testified Thursday that her sister denied stabbing the victim.
Tara Harrell and Louis Floyd Jr. are being tried for the murder of William Jackson at the Dollar Inn on August 14, 2013.
Harrell was the mother of Jackson's child, but was in a relationship with Floyd at the time of his murder.
Harrell's sister, Donna Timbes testified that Harrell and Floyd came to her home that night, and told her about the murder.
Timbes said Harrell denied stabbing Jackson, but said she was going to say she did, so Floyd would not get in trouble.
The trial is expected to continue next week.
