'Dangerous' Tifton teen in custody

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Tifton police asked for help finding a third person wanted in an armed robbery, and on Thursday, they arrested him. 17-year old Rashad Sawyer is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault for robbing a man on Pehler Drive last week.

22-year old Jasmine West and 18-year old Malik Merritt have already been arrested in the crime. Police say it's important to get these violent criminals off the streets.

"People that will take the chance of having to use a gun just to get money or any goods that they may want, they're certainly dangerous. You shouldn't lose your life over property," said Lt. Lee Dunston with the Tifton Police Department.

Dunston said Sawyer was listed as armed and dangerous. If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call the Tifton Police Department at 229-382-3132.
