Police surround Albany home searching for wanted man

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany police surrounded a house Wednesday evening looking for man wanted for aggravated assault.

Albany police has confirmed that multiple units responded to a home at 2201 Grady Street around 6:57 p.m. Police executed a search warrant to search the home in reference to Quantavious Cortez Thomas.

Police said they did not find Thomas.

Thomas is wanted in an aggravated assault case from Tuesday March 3, at 2501 South Washington Street, Albany.

He is 31, Weighs 229 pounds, is 6' 3" tall, with brown eyes and black hair. His last known Address is 2201 Grady Street, Albany.

The warrants are for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
