Early Co. officials ask help for unsolved death cases

BLAKELY, GA (WALB) -

Early County Sheriff's investigators are asking the community to help them close out two death cases. 

The most recent is from January, 57-year old Lonnie Butler was found lying on North Washington Street in Blakely. He had suffered several injuries to his head and later died. No word yet how he was injured initially.

The second is from last year, 49-year old Sammy George after being involved in a hit and run. He was found lying in the middle of Jesse Johnson Street also in Blakely.

"We do have several vehicle descriptions we are still waiting on info to come back from the crime labs, " Price said.
