ALBANY, GA (WALB) - At a candlelight vigil, family and friends remember a man gunned down in his central Albany home Saturday.
Tuesday night folks gathered at that Baker Avenue home and are still shocked by David Thomas's murder.
Those who knew Thomas said he was a good man and a reliable friend.
Donna Webb organized the vigil after an outpouring of support through social media and phone calls.
She said this was the best way to honor him.
"Some people shy and may not say things. But in their hearts, I know everybody loved Simi. And everybody got good things to say about him. He was a very good person," said Webb.
Twenty-eight year old Tiffley Malone is in jail charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and making a false statements to police.
