ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police officers went to a house on south Cleveland Street Sunday night about 7:30 to assist United States Marshals in apprehending Larry Johnson, who was an escapee from the Albany Transitional Center.
Officers saw several people there drinking beer and alcoholic beverages, and a man told officers it was a 'shot house' where alcohol is sold, without a license.
Officers recovered three cases of Natural Light Beer and 15 - 12 ounce cans of Bush Light Beer (from the kitchen refrigerator), 1 case Icehouse Beer, 8 - 1.75 liter bottles of Barton Vodka, a gallon of Seagram's Gin, 2 -1.75 Bottles Seagram's Vodka, 1- Liter of E and J Brandy, 1- Liter of Paul Mason Brandy.
Larry Cooper was arrested and was transported to the Dougherty County Jail, and charged with Maintaining a Disorderly House.
The alcohol was transported the Law Enforcement Center and was discarded officers.
