ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Commissioner Anthony Jones is hoping to make one intersection a little safer for drivers. Crashes are common at Nelms Road and U-S 19.
The DOT says there's not enough traffic to install a stop light, but county commissioners are considering a couple of options.
He says the DOT will present some options at meeting in the near future.
“As a commissioner we need public safety and that's what we are going to be doing, making this intersection a lot more safer so folks can come here and stop at the flash foods,” says County Commissioner Anthony Jones.
They're also in the process of setting up public meetings to get some input from folks.
