BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Bainbridge Public Safety officers are investigating a fatal shooting that happened at 1015 Water Street Friday afternoon.
When officers arrived, the victim had already been taken to Bainbridge Memorial Hospital by family members.
Officers confirmed that Ricardo James, 27, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
James died from a single gunshot wound to his chest.
Chief Investigator Major Robert Humphrey has identified the suspect involved in the shooting as 19-year-old Celia Burns.
Major Humphrey said there were multiple rounds shot at the residence. One bullet went through the window, and was embedded in the wall.
There were several people in the residence when the shooting occurred, but no one else was injured.
Investigators are still searching for Burns.
