ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On Friday afternoon, Monroe High's Brenton Truitt signed his letter of intent to play football at Point university in West Point, Georgia.
He got share it with his coach and dad Charles Truitt.
Truitt, the outside linebacker, could make some some hits and got a few picks in his four years at Monroe.
He even played a little fullback, too.
But, he will stick to outside linebacker with the Point Hawks.
Charles said he's proud of his son.
And, Brenton said he knows he picked the right school.
"I'm looking forward to going to Point," said Brenton. "I felt the love instantly there. And, I'm very ready to do bigger and better things."
"[I'm] being able, not only, to have a player to be able to sign, but also to be able to have a son be able to play," said Charles. "So, it goes two fold to be able to have that opportunity."
