MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol confirmed one man has died in Moultrie, after his Jeep Wrangler side swiped a tractor trailer, overnight.

It happened on South Main Street in Moultrie around 2:15 Friday morning.

The Wrangler was traveling southbound and collided with the tractor trailer which was traveling north. The Jeep hit the back of trailer and swerved into tree and hit it head on.

"It then left the roadway, struck a curb, went into a private yard and struck a tree on the right passenger side," said John Eric Brinson, GSP Trooper.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.

The semi driver told troopers that the Wrangler didn't have its headlights lights on. The victim has not been identified, and they are still investigating.
