Lee County Trojans third baseman Jordan Reep is in his second year as a varsity player.
He's crushing the ball this season, but he's also been hitting the books hard.
On Thursday, Colony Bank's Phil Franklin recognized Reep as WALB's Student-Athlete of the Week.
Reep bats second for the Trojans with an impressive .450 batting average.
Just as impressive, he holds 3.6 grade point average in AP and Honors classes.
Reep will be attending Georgia Southern in the fall.
He is not sure yet if he will try to walk-on with the baseball team.
But he does know, he wants to earn a degree in business.
"My dad owns his own business," said Reep. "My mom's dad, and my grandad, owns his own business, too. So, I was grown around a lot of entrepreneurship."
Reep and his Trojans are off to a hot 7-1 start.
They'll start region play at home Friday night against Lowndes at 6:00.Copyright 2015 WALB. All rights reserved.
