College merger will impact high school students

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  An upcoming college merger will actually have impact on south Georgia high school students.

After Southwest Georgia and Moultrie Technical colleges merge, they'll combine dual enrollment programs that allow high school students to gain college credit toward graduation. 

The course tuition will be covered by state funds or the HOPE Grant. 

The new college will boast some of the highest numbers of dually enrolled high school students in Georgia.
