SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) - A second suspect in a Sumter County double murder is in jail Wednesday night waiting to face the charges before a judge.
Demetrius Hubbard was brought to the Sumter County jail Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff's deputies and GBI agents went to his house to arrest him.
He wasn't there, but a family member helped authorities locate Hubbard who was arrested around 4 p.m.
Investigators said this case is far from over.
"There are pending arrests that will be made and hopefully in the next 24 to 48 hours. We have everything to believe that at least one or two more persons are involved. We know who they are and we are going to get them," said Ralph Stuart, Sumter Co. Sheriff's Office.
Hubbard is charged with murdering Dallas Freeman and his mother Bonnie Freeman.
They were shot Friday evening in their home which was later set on fire.
