ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Vietnam Veteran is planning a protest rally because he says he's fed up with lousy medical care from the Veterans Administration.
67-year-old Willie Ross will host the rally outside Congressman Sanford Bishop's office on Roosevelt Avenue March 18th.
Ross said many veterans are upset with the medical care they're getting at the VA clinic in Albany.
He wants them to send a message to Washington.
"I'm asking you to come out and join. Your family members, service guys, preachers, whoever wants to come out and join us . We're trying to get a message to Obama that we need help.
Ross says he's not protesting local VA clinic employees, but rather what he calls the "clowns and politicians in Washington."
He's asking veterans and interested people to join him on March 18th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Ross emphasized the event will be a peaceful protest.
