The Calhoun County, Florida Sheriff provided this release dealing with crimes that led Worth County deputies to pursue the couple that was caught last week. They were investigating a burglary in Florida, in which over 20 firearms were stolen.

The woman, 34-year-old Crystal Miley Harry, raised a weapon at Worth deputies, who shot her dead on Highway 133 between Doerun and Albany.  Phillip Kelly, who initiated the chase, was taken to jail, where he remains.

Sheriff's Release:

During the follow-up investigation, one of the reported stolen firearms was located at a pawn shop in Defuniak Springs, FL. From that transaction, investigators were able to identify a white female who had pawned the firearm.

In the process of locating the individual to interview her, Calhoun County Sheriff's Office was notified by Worth County, GA authorities that they had been involved in an investigation of a white female and male that had sold several firearms to an individual in their county.

These were the same pair that were being sought by Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. Worth County, GA authorities located the vehicle in that county and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. Authorities pursued and subsequently the vehicle crashed. The female occupant left the vehicle at the crash, displayed a firearm and pointed it in the direction of the deputies. Law Enforcement fired upon her, resulting in the death of the female.

The male was taken into custody and remains in the Lowndes County, GA jail. He is being charged with armed burglary and dealing in stolen property. At the present time, 19 of the 21 firearms have been recovered.

It has been revealed that this same pair has been involved with multiple burglaries in multiple counties, in two states (Florida and Georgia).

Investigation still ongoing with Jackson, Holmes, Washington, Walton counties in Florida, Worth County, Georgia and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
