ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Organizers are busy preparing for Albany's 14th annual Mardi Gras festival this weekend. Admission is only $5.
You can enjoy live music all day, plus food and craft vendors downtown. The event will kick off at noon with the Albany Humane Society's pet parade.
"And our bands will start right after the pet parade and we'll have music all the way until 8 PM Saturday night. The Riverquarium will also be having s special admission that weekend of $5 per person to get into the aquarium," said Better Albany member Tommy Gregors.
Runners will also be on the streets for the Albany marathon and half marathon, so drivers need to be cautious and patient and prepare for some road closures Saturday.
