VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Charges were still pending Monday afternoon against a Valdosta man who police said fired shots at another man inside an apartment over the weekend.

Valdosta Police Department Lt. Aaron Kirk said 25 year-old Ahmad Graydon came to Alexander Wright's apartment at 2305 Bemiss Road around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Wright let him in because he knew Graydon.

But, Lt. Kirk said the two got into a physical argument and that was when shots were fired. "Once he got inside the apartment, an altercation started. There were two guns involved and shots were fired. The case is under investigation and we're tryin' to determine what happened before any charges are filed," explained Lt. Kirk.

Lt. Kirk said Graydon received several cuts to his head during the altercation and remained hospitalized at SGMC in Valdosta Monday afternoon.
