Several Georgia school districts, including a couple in South Georgia, are receiving grants from the State Board of Education.

Worth and Colquitt Counties are two of 15 counties statewide receiving grants as part of the Striving Reader program.

The initiative is aimed at providing learning material and raising the reading levels of students.

The funding comes from the more than $91 million distributed to eligible districts.
