ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Technical College is celebrating their engineering week.
A grant has made it possible to build their engineering program.
There is a demand for engineers in South Georgia. With a 2-year degree students can get a job that pays well.
Albany Tech says the engineering is creative, challenging and rewarding.
The fair includes drafting, electro mechanic and civil engineering as well as industrial systems
"We are focused on the adult learner for this particular grant," said Elizabeth Brown with Albany Tech. "We are looking at people that have been laid off, underemployed, military veterans, their spouses, and anyone that wants to make a career change."
They are expecting to have another technology fair in the summer.
