A second man was behind bars Thursday in connection with the armed robbery of the downtown Valdosta Subway in October 2014.

24 year old Justin Harrell was arrested on February 22nd in Florida. Police say he and 25 year old William Harris walked into the Subway at 602 North Ashley Street around 9:30 p.m. on October 13th, pulled out a gun, and demanded the two employees inside hand over the cash from the register.

Williams was arrested a few days later, but Harrell was able to get away.  "He left Valdosta. He was found in Florida somewhere, I'm not exactly sure where he was picked up," said Valdosta Police Department Lt. Aaron Kirk. "Apparently, he came into some contact with officers down there and they found out he had a warrant here in Valdosta and they made an arrest."

Thursday, both Williams and Harrell were facing two counts each of aggravated assault and armed robbery.
