VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a head-on collision in Lowndes County that left two people dead Wednesday.
Troopers say 22-year-old Logan Paige Shelley and 23-year-old Kyle Naville of Valdosta were killed when a Ford F-150 slammed head on into a Ford Mustang driven by Shelley.
The driver F-150, 34-year-old Jeremy Carter of Valdosta, was taken to South Georgia Medical Center in serious condition.
The crash happened on Old Clyattville Road, about 2 miles from Interstate 75 around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to a report, the truck was trying to pass a school bus and collided with the Mustang.
Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is investigating the crash to determine if any charges will be filed..
The school bus did not have any students on board. No other injuries were reported.
