Folks continue to recover after Donalsonville fire

DONALSONVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Folks are still recovering from that devastating Donalsonville fire.

Swanner Insurance Agency was one of the nine businesses destroyed.

They lost all of their customers' files.

Ponder Enterprises, which occupied the downtown building they're now in gave them the keys to a new location across the street the day of the fire.

" It was a rough time. We had good friends the Ponders saw it happen and grabbed ahold of my sister who is also an agent here, Pam Swords, and they brought us over here and said here's your new Swanner Insurance Agency and we've been here ever since,” said Ladon Swanner, Agent.

Swanner said they were able to keep serving clients well and did not lose customers because of the fire.
