DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - City leaders are installing a new system to give customers a faster notice for late payments.
Tyler Notify will be active as of March 4th and will allow the city to do automated phone notifications to customers. City leaders say it will be convenient, save paper and be used for more than just letting people know about past due bills.
"We could send it out to certain costumers to tell them to boil their water, a main break in a service line and there are a lot of other opportunities we could use this program for," said Tommy Harrell, city of Douglas customer service manager.
Everyone in the city of Douglas should have received a hard copy notice by now, but if you misplaced your notice or you need to provide the city with a working phone number you can contact them at 912-384-3302.
