ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The month long Albany MCLB trucking corruption trial is winding down.
Jurors in federal court heard closing arguments and judge's instructions Monday.
Trucking company owner Christopher Whitman and former base workers Shawn McCarty and Bradford Newell are charged in a bribery scheme. Prosecutors say allowed Whitman to overbill the government tens of millions of dollars for trucking contracts.
At least four other former base officials and trucking firm employees have already pleaded guilty and cooperated with federal prosecutors.
