TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - A new task force is working to prevent family violence.
It will help people in Tift, Turner, Irwin and Worth Counties.
Some local law enforcement agencies are already on board.
Organizers want to create a cohesive team to take on a serious problem.
"Anyone that hears of such a need for help, will know exactly what to do and who to refer them to and what calls to make, so that they can get the help they need," said Ruth's Cottage and the Patticake House executive director Nancy Bryan.
Their next meeting will be in April and they hope to get additional support from DFCS and area clergy.
