BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) -  A multiple Grammy Award winning group will perform a free concert in Bainbridge Thursday night.

The Fairfield Four is mostly known for their traditional African American spiritual and gospel music.

As they rehearsed, they said they hoped their music will uplift audiences with their a cappella performance.

The quartet will play new songs from their upcoming CD that comes out in March.

Fairfield Four member Bobbye Sherrell said, “We're excited about the new stuff we are coming out with for the Fairfield Four, along with the traditional stuff we've been singing for years or that people have been hearing for years."

The performance will begin at 7 p.m. at Bainbridge State College's Kirbo Center and is free and open to the public.
