VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Georgia Agritourism Association members were in Valdosta Tuesday to learn how to improve their industry.
Tuesday, they heard from labor and insurance experts about labor laws and how to make sure that they're running the tourism business at their farms safely and properly.
Georgia Agritourism Association President Drew Echols said while education was the focus of the conference, the best part was the networking opportunities.
"You've got people from all over the state of Georgia. I'm from the extreme Northeast corner of the state. Glad to be down here in Valdosta and just getting to meet people from all over the state, bouncin' ideas off each other," Echols said.
Monday, the members toured various agritourism farms and vineyards across South Georgia.
The conference was expected to wrap up Wednesday afternoon.
