Officials hope for tips on cold case

As part of an ongoing search, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is asking for the public's help to identify a deceased boy found in Decatur, Georgia on Feb. 26, 1999.

He has been left without a name for nearly 16 years.

His body was found in a wooded area behind a small church cemetery on Clifton Springs Road in South DeKalb County. He is estimated to be 5-7 years of age.

Forensic analysis has suggested that the child is from the local region which encompasses DeKalb County, the Atlanta area, South Georgia and Northern Florida.

Law enforcement is still actively investigating the case.
