A Sylvester church raises money for a Worth County man battling cancer.
18-year-old Dontate Cooper was diagnosed with Lymphoma in December. Today, Members of Jesus Christ Tabernacle of Deliverance held a benefit for him to raise money for his medical expenses. Cooper says he is thankful for the support.
"It makes me happy that I have a lot of people that care about me," said Dontate Cooper.
"We want to reach out and touch people and help those who God told us to help," said Judy Hall, Pastor. "He said if we see someone sick, then do we minister to them, if we see them hungry do we feed them."
Hall says she hopes to raise $1,000 for Cooper. Donations can be made to Family Visions Outreach Incorporated. They can be reached at 229-777-7704.
