Kids got a chance to make some handmade Valentine's gifts.
The Albany Arts Council partnered with the Albany Parks and Recreation Department for their Valentine's Day Party. More than 50 kids made photo frames, bookmarks, necklaces, and cards.
"We really want them to know that there are just fun things that they can come downtown and do," said Nicole Williams, Albany Arts Council Executive Director." "We want them to see this beautiful building that we're housed in the Old Carnegie Library and then there are some really beautiful artwork on the walls and I've noticed as many people checking out the artwork as making the arts and crafts."
The Albany Parks and Recreation Department will partner with the Albany Museum of Art next month for their Family Day.
