Mission Change is celebrating Valentine's Day by delivering hundreds of meals to those in need.

More than 50 volunteers met at First United Methodist Church this morning for their monthly mission to pack sandwiches, chips, and dessert, and of course, a Valentine's Day card.

They'll deliver the meals to the homeless, and residents living in the Hudson Malone Towers and McIntosh Public Housing areas.

"For our neighbors who are basically shut ins or can't get out or probably won't see anybody on Valentine's Day,” said LaDonna Urick. “Our job today is to go out there and show what love truly is and it happened to fall right on Valentine's Day which is perfect."

Students in Mission Change's Afterschool Program also volunteered. Their next monthly mission will be an Easter Egg Hunt.
