Economic development officials call the 27th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt this week in Albany a "big success."
Officials from 20 businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, and agriculture fields industries , who are considering bringing jobs to Georgia ,enjoyed three days of quail hunting and Southern hospitality.
With the economy rebounding, state Officials say this event could attract new industry.
Albany Dougherty County Economic Development President Justin Strickland said "New construction and dirt being moved. Some new growth in the area. Also with recent large scale announcements in the state of Georgia, it's good that Georgia is living up to it's title of the number one state in the country to do business."
Two South Georgia businesses that expanded in Albany after previous hunts are Coats and Clark and Outdoor Network.
