Cecil racetrack changes hands

CECIL, GA (WALB) - A popular south Georgia racing facility has a new owner.

Florida race track owner Ozzy Moya says he bought South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil from Larry Dean.

Dean built the track and took ownership back from Kim and Rowland Wood, after the Georgia Department of Revenue shut down the track last August, claiming the Woods owed at least $90,000 in sales tax revenue.

Moya says the first race at the drag strip will be next weekend.
