ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany organization is collecting gently-used prom attire for girls in need.
Project Prom Princess will host a prom for girls who are homeless and living in shelters on March 22nd at Boast Fine Shoe Boutique on Dawson Road.
The girls will be able to pick out free dresses and shoes at the store, but organizers need more donations of dresses and shoes.
"I remember how hard it was for me working and going to school to try to afford prom dresses for myself. I just wanted to help out girls in this day and age to try to get them something that will help them feel special for that one night," Tonya Miller, Organizer.
You have until March 8th to drop off donations at Boast Fine Show Boutique, Sowega Tax and Accounting Services, and Expressations in Downtown Albany.
