WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - Worth County commissioners postpone a decision on the future of Battalion Chief John Graddy.
County leaders say he abandoned his post January 15th when he drove a patient by ambulance to the hospital in Albany.
They say Graddy neglected his fire duties and another ambulance was available anyway.
Graddy believes he did the right thing.
"It was a rrecommendationby the attorney. We have one board member that is out for medical reasons and he rrecommendedthat we postpone our decision on the two employees until next Tuesday," says Worth County Commissioner Mike Cosby.
Graddy remains suspended pending that commission meeting next Tuesday night.
