TY TY, GA (WALB) - South Georgia farmers gathered Wednesday for prayer over their farmlands.
A group heard from Father Lonnie from St. Annes Episcopal Church after breakfast at the TyTy Peanut Company Wednesday morning. This is the fourth year the group has come together and is gaining popularity.
The farmers say they hope this annual event grows across the state."To put a seed in the ground and expect to have the rain, the warmth and the good weather and to produce a good crop, is just hard to do without a strong belief in God," said Carroll Coarsey, Carroll and Kathy Coarsey Farm Manager.
The farmers were asked to picture their own land as Father Lonnie prayed. Farmers also met to pray in Omega, Chula and Brown Lee.
