ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Governor Nathan Deal is trying to lure Jaguar / Land Rover to the Peach State.
The automaker is reportedly considering building a plant in South Georgia.
Albany-Dougherty Economic Development leaders believe our area could support a large plant like that.
"We have a hardworking workforce here who is well educated by the different educational institutions that are here and supported by great infrastructure, great utilities and abundant natural resources with the key being great access to water," said Justin Strickland, Albany-Dougherty County Economic Development Commission President.
Governor Deal has not commented on his secretive trip to the U. K. last month to meet with Jaguar executives.
