ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Last months Quail invitational was a huge success.

Members of the Southwest Georgia Quail forever chapter say hunters had a great time and the money raised was worth all the hard work.

Bo Henry says by the end of the year 40-thousand dollars will have been given to the conservation and preservation of quail hunting in South Georgia and other programs this event supports.

Henry says from Georgia Florida Quail Coalition, to Tall Timbers an Albany quail project to the youth shooting teams around the area, to Purple Heart quail hunt. We will also be giving money to youth shoots throughout the year.

With this event turning out to be such a success next year's quail hunt is already scheduled for the last weekend in January.
