VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Superintendent E. Martin Roesch of Valdosta City Schools plans to retire. His last day with the district will be Friday, May 29, 2015.
"I have genuinely enjoyed every level of my employment with Valdosta City Schools and have been honored to serve as superintendent," Roesch said in a statement.
Roesch became the superintendent of Valdosta City Schools in February of 2013 and has spent his entire career working within the district.
The board of education plans to begin a search soon to replace Superintendent Roesch.
